I wrote this song one dreary and rainy November day a number of years back at the after-school music program I ran at the Hill House on Beacon Hill. I had the kids use hula-hoops like umbrellas for jumping around to help burn off the energy kids have when they can't get outside all day, and the parents, sitters and nannies were quite pleased about that! The illustration is by Michigan book illustrator Erin Abramowicz.
